Trying to Get Pregnant

Who drinks alcohol?

I know some friends that have stopped drinking while TTC, but I just can't do it. Is anybody with me?? Obviously I would stop if I was pregnant, but its summer and I need a drink!!

Um yeah. Drink 'til it's pink for sure. And even pregnant, I will probably have the very occasional glass of wine in my 2nd and 3rd tri.

  • I am pretty sure most ladies here "drink til it's pink."  Personally, I gave it up for trying to become healthier.  Not that I drank much ever before anyway.
  • Drink till its pink.... I love it!!   :)

I'm still drinking. I get a little more catious during the 2WW, but other than that all bets are off. It is Summer, and TTC is stressful. Drinks for everyone!
  • I drink, sometimes more than I should.  It happens.

  • I'm still drinking. Maybe not as much as I used to, but I see nothing wrong with a drink here or there.
  • DH and I had sex the Friday before leaving on vacation, I drank every night on vacation all week last week. I was supposed to get my period last Monday, AF never showed. Now I'm kind of nervous but trying not to be. Been very moody so I'm hoping AF shows her ugly face any day now to get rid of this PMS.
  • I don't drink a lot, but I'm not going to give it up while TTC. I actually drank 3 days before I got my BFP with DD. She's perfectly healthy.

With DS I drank 2 glasses of wine on separate occasions. Both while my DH wasn't around he would have killed me! Ha! It was my 3rd trimester and I really wanted a small glass. Better grab a suit for me as well!

  • I started out not drinking and then I realized that I needed to live my life normally until I got a BFP.  I am definitely of the "drink til it's pink" mindset.

Does anyone on here know about it with medicated cycles?  Particularly clomid?  The half-life is 5-7 days, so it should mostly be out of my system.  I'm cd 18... and I could really use a glass of wine tonight!  For some reason, I keep forgetting to ask my RE or the pharmacist about it.

This. I'm team drink until it's pink as well as 'occasional drink in 2nd and 3rd tri'. Here's some research for occasional drinking and pregnancy, one from 2010 and one from 2012:

  • I prefer an IV drip. I kid, I kid.

I drink til it's pink. But during medicated cycles, I'm a little more cautious. I figure, with all of the money I am spending on medicated cycles, I might as well try to be as healthy as possible.

    Drink up.

I'll be one that has the occasional glass of wine during 2nd and 3rd tri too. I had a few drinks during my previous pregnancies and all 3 of mine turned out great, no problems. Plus wine is good for you!

  • I haven't stopped drinking, but I'm not a huge drinker either--just a glass of wine or a beer here and there now that it's summer. I did think about not drinking during the 2ww, but I'm stressed out enough during that time anyway, so a glass or two of wine really relaxes me.
