UPDATE: A/S Results Flagged

I posted a while ago about our A/S results being flagged because of the nuchal fold measurement and the need for a retest. I have a family history of Down Syndrome and was really worried.

Well, this morning we FINALLY had our follow up ultrasound. I was super anxious but it was amazing to see our sweet girl again. The doctor came in at the end of my scan and told us that, while he can't make any guarantees, he thinks that she looks good and is not concerned! I'll take that!

He explained that at this point in pregnancy (I'm almost 22 weeks) the nuchal measurement alone is not really used as an indicator of a issue. They have to evaluate many parts of the anatomy and development together and make a determination from that. Everything looked perfect! We were so relieved!
