If you were to name LO after your parents

If you were to make/pick a name from your parent's or in-law's name what would you name them (without actually just using their original name)? I've been curiously inspired from a parenting magazine at the doctor's office.

If LO is a girl, we are naming her after my MIL.

Mom- Ronda
Boy- Ronald*
Girl- Ronna*

Dad- Anthony

MIL- Marlene

*I really don't like these names, they're just the only ones I could think of that if I was forced to use, I'd live with,

If the names you're thinking of aren't your favorites then make them the middle name. My mother named me after my grandmothers for my middle names and I thank god everyday that it's not my first name. It was so thoughtful and sweet and they were happy when I was born BUT I can't stand my middle names. She didn't want to disappoint them but she disappointed me lol. Anyways my point;

From the child's point of view. Don't force a name unless you love it to please them bc your child might hate it. If you're set on doing this make it the middle name. I don't have to share my middle names with people lol

I agree with a PP that if you don't care for any of your choices as a first name, then use that name as a middle name. 

My DH and his HB were both named after their fathers; first name only for my DH (he has MIL's maiden name), and first/last for his brother.

DH doesn't care to use his first name if we were to have a boy, or any close variation. DH's father passed away 2 summers ago, so we might use his last name as a middle name for a boy. We would also consider my maiden name as a middle name for a girl or boy.

My father was given his father's first name. I have only sisters so he wasn't able to pass it along, so my older sister used dad's first name as a middle name for her son. I would consider doing the same (use as mn, not fn) but would prefer to use my maiden name as a middle name.
