Well, I got my hip surgery today. It sucked, and now I have a long road ahead of mr for recovery, BUT we are cleared for TTC in three months and then there will be no more pelvic pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm overjoyed :-) And now I have this faboulous little excercise machine with a furry cover on it--can you say cat bed?? lol, i am certain without a doubt that they will sleep on it and I will have to kick them off in order to use it.
This has been a year from hell. When I joined this board last August I had just gotten my IUD out and we had moved into our first house (a rental, but still) which we were lucky enough to be able to afford on a lake. We were so happy and excited. Then this shiz began in October. Then I had to leave go on medical leave in February due to the pain I was in, which got worse with standing and walking. Then I lost my job due to "attendance issues" i.e. medical leave, which they infuriatingly enough are allowed to do as I am a non-tenured teacher. Not to mention a whole boatload of other health crises that reared their heads, but I'll save it as this is not my blog.
The point is, the ladies here have been so helpful and supportive and I got so much helpful information from others who suffer from this as well. You guys kept me laughing, gave me a place to check in and basically made me feel like I was not alone. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I am really looking forward to starting the TTC journery--for real this time!--and continuing to hang out some more. You guys had me at Anchor Man!!!!!

Also, it's so awesome to read a post thanking the ladies on this board! I'm a newbie so I didn't know about your journey. But it's posts like yours, acknowledging the help and love these ladies have shown you, that make me happy to be a [teeny tiny] part of this community.

Catmagick, so, so happy your surgery is done. Sorry recovery will suck, but it must be such a huge sigh of relief to have this next step done, and a clear timeline for your life to be back. Do you have any timeline for when things will start to feel less painful? I'm also pretty curious about this exercise machine - details? You've had to suffer through such a sucky year, but it seems like things are finally on the up and up. Please keep us updated about how the recovery is going .
Okay, that sounds pretty awesome . I might need to look into one of those for my surgery...

New Plan: Reciprocal IVF, me as carrier wife's eggs. Just went through insurance and received partial approval, so my part will go through my IVF benefits and wife's part will be out of pocket. Now just finalizing finance plans to cover the oop costs. Doctors office is in process of moving to a new building so there are no IVF start ups until March/April 2015.
April 2013: Femara + Trigger + IUI = ???
Lol, the machine is called a CPM machine that basically just slowly works on flexing my hip up and down. the part where it freezes my vag is just because of the way it wraps around. I doubt you'll need one of what I have, but icing yours will probably be critical I assume.....
