Sadie&Cleo: are they pet names?

I love Sadie, but I know of a few pets with the name. 

I like Cleo as well, but again, the whole pet thing is holding me back.

 

Do you think they are too "pet name-y"?

When I told my mom I liked Clio she told me it was a cat name. All our pets had people names though, the last bunch were Teddy, Tessa, Winnie, Emma and Polly. I am sure you will find lots of people that associate the names with an animal but there are so many kids out there named Max and Sam, the association fades.

Sadie leans a little more pet for me. Cleo I think of one of my favorite old romance novels Wonderful, and the heroine is named Lady Clio and she has long, silvery blond hair. So that's what I think of lol.

I think others will say the psychic, though.

This. I associate the name Charles/Charlie with our puppy.

OP, I think that Sadie is lovely. I don't even know of any pets with this name. Not a fan of Cleo though.

Both are solid names. Yes people use them for pets but it won't bother me.

All the pets I know have people names not a big deal IMO

I love Sadie! Cleo isn't bad but it reminds me of Miss Cleo.

I really love Cleo. It was on our short list for a girl.

Sadie is cute, but feels more nicknamey to me. Still fine, though.

I know pets with both names, but I think they're both fine. Cleo does make me think of the psychic, but I know a couple of teenage girls names Sadie and it fits them well.

I know a 6 year old named Sadie. I also had a dog named Sadie when I was little. I still like it.

I am not a fan of Cleo, but I don't think of  a pet when I see it.

Yes. Both perfect for cats...but who cares? There still cute names.

They can be people names just fine!

However my first thought is Sadie=dog and Cleo=Fish

I had a cat named Cleo until I found out it was a boy then changed it to Leo...

I think Sadie is a cute girls name for a human.

I love the name Sadie and don't think of a pet's name.  

Our Great Dane was named Clea, so Cleo is a dog name to me.   I think Clio is awful and one letter away from female anatomy.  I can see 6th grade boys having a field day with that spelling.

I love the name Sadie! It's on my list if my next LO is a girl! I don't know anyone with a pet named Sadie so for me I never associate it with a pet!

Sadie is a family name for me so I associate it with people. Cleo rings as a cat name to me.

I've only met human beings with the name Sadie. I do love Cleo for a girl, but my dogs sister my roommate and I each got a dog from a litter was Kleopatra with the nn Kleo, so I can't use it because of that.
