Not dilated

6 days till due date !
FTM expecting a girl anyone else not dilated yet ? I was checked Tuesday and I know things can progress rather quickly but my next appointment is Monday and still no contractions hmm .. Anyone else ?

I'm not that far along yet, but with my daughter I stayed 2 cm for 4 weeks. I ended up being induced at 41 weeks 1 day. Early dialation, unfortunately, doesn't mean anything. Hopefully labor will start for you on its own soon.

I hope so :fingers crossed: I'm not crazy on the bouncing on the ball castor oil etc that some women do I guess it will happen on its own and if it doesn't I guess induction will be my only option we will see ...

I didn't dilate until I went into labor. Don't worry about it.

There is no reason to be thinking about induction yet.

I went to 42 weeks and was only 1 cm dilated. I had to be induced. My baby didnt even drop, even when I was finally 10 cm. I would ignore your "due date" and expect to be a week late. it'll make your life easier.

imon my due date and im only 1cm. pretty frustrated by it... hope things move along for you. maybe you will be one of those lucky moms who has her kid on the due date

I am currently almost 41 weeks and will be induced wed if no baby..So you still have time little mama!

I agree, 41w is the average. I'm barely dilated now too, which is a little discouraging, and even though it means nothing, it's still nice to see progress.

With my 1st, I was dilated 1cm for almost a month and she was 3 days late

Yup same here. Its not unusual to not dilate at all until you get serious contractions going. Don't worry about it and don't jump the gun with talk of induction. Give your body a chance to do its thing. Simmer down.

This. I didn't dilate at all and went in to labor in my own at 41 w 1 d with my first. 40 w 5 d pregnant with number two and I'm only a finger tip, not everyone dilates ahead of time

This for me too.  Not everyone dilates before labour.

With my First one.  No dilation and my water broke a few days after my 38 week appointment, so it can happen at anytime.

Add me to the "didn't dilate until in labor" list- with both kids.  I had great L&D's with both kids, my body just didn't do it's thing until the big day.  DS was born the day after his EDD and DD was born 5 days before her EDD.

I am with you, I am due in 5 days and was not dilated at all when I went to the doctor today. This is my 3rd, other two were late, 5 days then 2 days, with my second i was 34 centimeters for a month. I am 75 effaced but I was shocked to hear I wasn't dilated at all. But as PP stated it can just happen all at once
