I'm a Special Ed teacher in an elementary school right now. My heart is still in middle school, though. If I don't resign next year, I'll probably go back up with the big kids.

I am not a teacher, but a school social worker. I do follow the teacher schedule, so have all the breaks! Our last day of school was a week ago today! I am happy to enjoy the break with my DS and going on vacation in two days!
I teach 4th grade, and I love it! Today is the last day (woohoo!!) Actually, there is only 1 hour and 5 minutes left! It's also time to go pick up my kids from art for their end of the year party
I am not a Teacher but I have recently made the choice to get my butt in gear and actually go to college here in Anchorage instead of online college.
I am going for either early elementary education (1st grade preferably) or music/drama education (MS or HS)
My favorite teacher is actually retiring this year. He was a huge inspiration to me he really supported me in all my HS drama and musical endeavors. Always pushed me to keep at it and he really encouraged me to purse music and drama, not only as a performer but to be an educator as well. Great man he often told us "Amateurs practice until they get it right. Professionals practice until they never get it wrong."

I (sometimes as a guest lecturer) teach juniors/seniors in college (nutrition program)! I taught second grade for part of my thesis work during grad school - just an hour a day and it seriously wore me out!
I'll be student teaching in the fall, does that count? I'm getting my certification in grades pre-k through 5th, but I hope to teach pre-k or kindergarten.

I teach 8th grade language arts. I took this school year off, though, to stay home with DD. I will go back to work in August. Hopefully, I'll be KU when I go back :!
I am not a teacher. Huge kudos to those that are. I just don't have it in me.
My favorite teachers were in high school. My ap biology teacher, Mr. Martin and my chemistry and physics teacher, Mr. Hitzfield. They were key players in shaping my future.
This is my first school year that I haven't taught in 11 years. I taught K-3 Music at an awesome school. I'm now a SAHM. Staying at home is more frustrating than I thought it would be, but its gotten better. I've missed teaching this year and missed seeing my students and work friends on a daily basis.

I literally just finished up my school year 10 minutes ago! Of course, I will still be at school for another couple of hours as I finish up work and move classrooms. I teach 8th grade English and theater. This is my first year in junior high after high school for the past three years and I absolutely loved it! Looking forward to a nice long vacation though!

My dad taught me in 8th grade. He was my favourite! He is retiring this year so I'm so happy for him!! Still has about a month left to go of classes here in Ontario. Haha, any Ontario teachers will know how exciting it must be to retire from this job these days lol.
I teach high school orchestra. I'm part-time. I was at two different schools and still only 90%, so I decided to go part-time at just the high school. I also teach percussion at another local high school for their marching band and winter percussion ensemble.
My DH is a teacher's assistant at a special services school. He loves it! He works part time and has his summers off.
I cannot remember the names of any teachers I had after elementary school. I really don't remember any college professors either. DH thinks this is weird, but I just don't remember any of them.
3 1/2 more days left for us. I am in 1 st grade an assistant teacher. Almost like co teaching in a private school. Last day is next Thurs and that is a half day. Today we put on a play for the parents. Flat Stanley play. Was so much fun. Next year I will be in 2 nd grade!!! Can't wait!!
I am birth thru 2 in Elementary education, birth thru 6 in elementary: and special education. B thru 12 literacy and can't find a lead teaching position due to know experience.
I worked at a group home and in a psych hospital tutoring but guess that does not count. So hard to find a job in NY!!! I love what I am doing now thought!!!

Good luck going back to school....maybe go for elementary music and get the best of both worlds? :]

I teach high school band, orchestra, yearbook, news, and beginning journalism.nbsp;nbsp;I teach in a charter school, so since there isn't a "feeder" middle school, I don't have anywhere to go to fill my day with music classes, so years ago I took on the publications stuff to keep myself fulltime with benefits. It's worked out pretty well. nbsp;
When I read your first sentence my mouth literally dropped open, then I saw the rest of it. I love yearbook and journalism too, so I bet you have a blast!

I teach band and general music. Today was my last day of work! Of course, now comes all of the summer band practices. But still...
Today was our last day with kids, then we go back Monday to empty and clean our rooms and finaliza grades, and we go two hours Tuesday for the kids to pick up their report cards. Love the gif!!

I teach high school freshman English. Our regular school year is over, but I'm now teaching summer school for those kiddos who didn't get their credit. I only have 6 kids, though, so it's pretty laid back, and when it all pans out, I am getting paid more to teach 4 weeks of summer school than I do in for a month during the regular school year. Yay me!
I teach special ed, students that are identified ED (emotionally disturbed). I hate that label so I call my room the behavior learning classroom. My students are K-4. Our last day of school was Tuesday so I am on summer break now! Woooohooo!
I was a preschool teacher assistant (I carried out lesson plans that the lead teacher made) for 3.5 years. At the center I worked at, they took children from 6 weeks old to about 5 or 6, depending on when they went to kindergarten.
I spent my last year with the toddlers. I loved it (no sarcasm here).
