3rd Trimester

Speaking of Caffeine....

I was just watching the Insiders and they did a story on a mom from Toddlers and Tiara's who gives her daughter Mountain Dew, sweet tea and Pixie sticks before every pageant for energy.......She's 2!!

That's not even the worst part! She said that she gives her daughter coffee every morning and has been since she has been 9 months old! What?! I wanted to jump through the TV and smack that woman!

What's next, a few shots to keep her relaxed?!

  • Those mothers also dye, tan, and put acrylic nails on those poor girls. I think in the long run its damaging to their self image and health.
  • Disgusting. In my opinion that's abusive behavior.

  • Just remember that sometimes what they put on "reality" shows like these are grossly exagerated!  I know they show the little girl drinking Mountain Dew and eating Pixie Stix, but they may be embellishing how often it happens.  They tend to feature the most extreme cases on that show so parents will often create stories that aren't real to make them more appealing to the casting people.  Although I find it even grosser that some of these moms are willing to say pretty much anything to be on the show.   It almost makes it worse, IMO.

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.

Ohhhhh I have to tell you a story. I did a charity event for work and walked in a runway show and that Toddlers and Tiaras girl Eden Wood was in the show too....random I know. Backstage the girl literally acted like a total diva, yelling at her mom and anyone else who she encountered. Her mom just took it and never reprimanded her!!! Plus On top of the spray tan was tanning lotion and more tanning makeup ... I mean she was borderline oompah loompah orange. Just soooo bizarre to see it first hand.

That show and those moms and kids make me so sad. Crazy people ruining their kids.

I use to work in TV/Broadcasting. You hit the nail on the head. A lot is exaggerated & made up for ratings.
