The situation with the baby is better, as far as I can tell through the grapevine. The husband has cut off all contact with us, but the report we filed went through and apparently others had reported them a while back too. A case worker went by and now an in home nurse goes by every now and then to check on baby. Apparently the nurse has helped explain things about the baby and taking care of her so that's a relief.
I'm sad to have lost personal contact with them, but as long as they are getting help, that's the important thing.
That must be so hard for you to not be in contact anymore, but at least someone is looking out for that poor baby and checking on them. Hopefully things will get better for them all.
