Girl Name

Eleanor Jane NN Ellie or just Ellie Jane? I think Ellie would be cuter on a baby and Eleanor could be used when she is older? Opinions/Suggestions? Thanks! Mobile smile!

Definitely Eleanor Jane. Ellie Jane doesn't sound right and I'm not a fan of nicknames as full names.

  • I personally prefer Eleanor... if she wants, she can go by Ellie as she gets older but has other options (i.e. full given name Eleanor, Nora, etc).

But Ellie is ok, it wouldn't be awful on it's own.

  • I see the appeal of a more formal name than Ellie. Eleanor is okay but I prefer Ellen.

  • I like going with Eleanor and giving her the nickname Ellie.

I like the whole name Eleanor with nn Ellie.  It gives her the option to choose what she wants to go by when she gets older. Who knows, she may even want to go by Nora!
  • Eleanor Jane!

Eleanor is a better given name IMO.nbsp; I have a friend with an Ellie and I just think it's cute now that she is little but it's kind of juvenile for an adult.

    I agree.
