I feel the same way as I do about a boy peeing outside. If it's a young girl that can't hold it to make it to a restroom then do what ya gotta do. It's a little harder for a girl, but it can be done.
As a kid who grew up in a very rural area with 100's of miles between gas stations, I get a little twitchy at the idea of peeing outside. I never got good at not peeing on my shoes. Even as a little, little kid I was always really stressed about someone seeing me. I think girls have to expose themselves to accomplish going to the bathroom more than boys so it's a little different. Taking my history into account, I will do my best to not put my daughter in that situation. But I don't judge people that do it as long as the little girl is ok with it.
I give up trying to get a ticker. I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome. Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself. Hmmm. How about...
"It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" - A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
We've had to make roadside stops with P. We should probably have a portable potty for this, but we don't yet. At the park, she usually asks & we go to the potty so it's not a problem. If we were at the park though, I think that if one kid can then both should be able to.
She's also mastered spitting like a champ (when we brush her teeth) whereas DS just can't grasp it.

About me 2007: Started TTC. 2008: OB prescribed clomid, went to RE and was Dx with PCOS. 2009: IUI #1 w/follitsim and trigger = BFP. B/G Twins born at 33 weeks. 2012: TTC #3, Round 2 of Letrozole w/TI = BFP, missed m/c at 8 1/2 wks. Currently on the bench as we make plans for a new home. Anxious to start TTC #3 within the next year!
If DD couldn't hold it and there wasn't a bathroom around I would let her go behind a bush. One of our local parks the bathroom is so foul that behind a bush would probably be more sanitary.
Re: S/O peeing in the park
DD's better at it than DS.

team avoid accident.
harder for a girl but if she's gotta go too, she gotta go.
I don't have many skills, but I am pretty good at a squat and pee.
Sure, go for it, I did this a bunch as a little kid.
