For us we tried a few times and he just kept peeing in his pants, hated going on the toilet and not caring if he wet his pants....so we knew he wasn't. When he would happily go on the toilet and started watching daddy go, we knew it would stick. It wasn't an overnight thing for us, like I know it is for others. We've been working with him for over 2 or 3 months but he is now telling us he has to go and sleeping without a diaper! Good luck! It's not easy. Just remember that accidents happen!

DD had shown interest for a good six months before we tried; meaning she would occasionally want to sit on the potty and/or actually go on the potty. By the time we PT'd, she wasn't pooping in her diaper anymore, ever, and always wanted her "turn" when either H or I went potty.
We did a version of those three day methods where we put her in undies and let her piss all over the place for a couple days, lol. Pull ups for nap and night [we didnt CD her] and a whooooole lot of partying when she went on the potty. She was day trained aside from nap within five days and we ditched the nap pull up about a week later. She's still in a crib so will remain in the pull up overnight until we switch her to a bed.
When he brought a diaper to us. When he specifically started hiding to poop. We did a potty boot camp. Worked great but he's too headstrong. We waited til he gave us his cue. "I wanna go potty". Ok!
A tells me when she's pooping. She'll ask me for a new diaper. Sometimes when I change her after two hours, her diaper is dry or barely, barely wet. She likes sitting on the toilet, although to date has not used it (I think) except for one time she pooped on it. Today she threw a hysterical fit though when I told her I needed to use the toilet. She ran ahead of me and put her seat on the toilet, then had a huge meltdown when I took it off to go to the bathroom.
She seems super into it, I'm just not sure she's actually ready. Plus I feel like she's still so young to do it (18 months for mobile). And hey, if we're being honest I feel like I'm not ready for it yet, but I really don't want to be the only thing holding her back.

It all revolves around you.
It will happen as soon as you become the mod for the CD board, lol.
And this is a good point. I would put it off as long as possible, or else we will have to vote you out. Unless of course you get KU again, and we don't want that.
Ugh, speaking of which... I was at a party and someone brought their new ten day old baby. I was doing soooo good. Until J picked up the baby and was showing her to A. I about died, I literally just could not look. I actually just threw my dipes into the wash, looked at J and pouted because I want another baby.
Kill me now - these next few months are going to suck.

My friend's DS started acting interested in PT when he was about A's age, but she waited until he was almost 2 b/c he couldn't pull his pants on and off by himself until then. I don't know if that's a normal consideration in PT, but it made sense to me. He's also very skinny, so she had to do some research to find training pants small enough to fit. (He's in DC during the school year so I guess they couldn't go straight to undies.)

I am totally not leaving the board, btw, if she potty trains early. And I will take the opportunity to aggressive build my newborn stash.
You guys will never get rid of me.
