Sick Baby = Cancelled Plans

My poor little peanut woke up at 3 this morning with a fever. DH left yesterday for a bachelor party weekend.  I was supposed to go today with LO for part of the bachelorette (Ladies lunch, vineyard tour and dinner) but I had to cancel.  

I had zero hesitation doing what LO needed and DH has called to check in every few hours and offered to come home. I guess I'm just feeling a little sad tonight that I missed something I had been looking forward to for so long but I feel guilty admitting it when I have a sick baby sleeping in the other room.  One last show and I am off to bed.  Fingers crossed that LO sleeps. It may be a snuggle in Mama's bed type of night.

Don't feel guilty. My LO was running a fever on my birthday when we had a sitter arranged so that DH and I could go out to dinner alone. I had been looking forward to it for days. I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that we couldn't go out because of the fever. It happens...and we are only human.
