Yeast

My DS had a yeast infection. We are using disposables until it clears up and I washed our diapers, inserts, and wipes in very hot 125 degree water with bleach. Should that kill it or do I need to do something else?

Re: Yeast

  • That should probably do it.  If you're worried, you could run another cycle with grapefruit seed extract and tea tree oil.  Thirsties just did an awesome blog on disinfecting...check it out!

  • As long as it's the kind of bleach that says "kills 99.9% of bacteria" on the bottle you should be good.

Exactly. I've used just bleach and bleach with GFSE and TTO and both methods have killed yeast for us.
