Talk to me about your nipples

Right now, we're using a level 1 nipple on her bottles.  She's doing great with the both the breast and the bottle.  My question is, when will we need to step up to the level 2 nipple?  LO is 11 weeks right now.

We use Dr. Brown bottles. It says level 2 nipples are for 3 months.

First of all... LOL at your title of this post!

It's time to switch levels when you notice she's getting anxious or mad when she's drinking the bottle. She will pretty much tell you when she wants more! Tbh, my daughter never moved off of the level 1 slow flow nipples. She was completely content from birth until 11 months when we switched to the sippy cup. She enjoyed drinking it slow and it made her tired so I was ok with that!

As PP says you will know because of her fustration. As long as LO was nursing he was happy with slow flow. Once we went to all bottles he startrd fussing we moved him up and it was instant relief for him.

We never went above a level 1 nipple for DS1 who was also BF and I don't plan on doing it for DS2 unless he really needs it (like he is collapsing the nipple while eating).
