monthly bleach?

Good morning, everybody.  I'm on my third cup of coffee at 9:40...how about you? 

So far our Newborn dipes have been in circulation for a little over 5 weeks.  I feel that we're getting close to "retiring them" and moving exclusively to the OS.  Is it important to treat them with the 1/4c bleach?  I haven't done this yet and know this is recommended to keep the diapers fresh, right? 

I use Tide powder if it makes a difference.

I hope not because I haven't used any bleach and y DDs almost eight months old!

I don't do it exactly every month, but I do use a little bleach once and awhile especially for my pockets/synthetic diapers.  My prefolds wash up so well, they always seem perfectly clean to me.

I've never done that, but I use prefolds. I don't know if you need to with pockets and AIOs?
