Cloth Diapering

Gdiapers

Would you recommend these?

I have mixed feelings bc of the snap in liner AND the insert.. Seems like a lot.

I have heard good things about them and found a good deal on a set of two with a bag of inserts for 25 so I bought them to try!

Eta: I forgot to ask do I have to use their insert or will any insert do?

Re: Gdiapers

  • We received some medium gDiapers with the snap-in liners and LO is now just big enough to try them out.  I was skeptical at first because of the seemingly unnecessary steps of the cover, liner, insert....but I LOVE them! For now I am using some gifted disposable inserts (I know, completely contradicts the whole CD world) and they're not gDiaper brand and they fit perfectly.  We are looking into trying out other inserts in the snap-in liner.

I think the biggest drawback to the gDiapers is that they don't have a OS diaper...which means that throughout your child's entire diapering, you have to buy different size covers and snap-in liners. We have the mediums, and they're only good until about 14 pounds.  It gets expensive that way-having to buy all different sizes.

  • I tried Gdiapers as well.  I was in love with them because they were so cute and trim.  But I had consistent leak problems and eventually abandoned them for other types of diapers.  But I will say that the gcloths have been wonderful doublers, for a little extra absorbency when needed.  I actually wish I had more of them.
