Kawaii Training Pants & potty training with daycare

So we really want to do the 3 day potty training sometime this summer but our daycare provider has carpeting and, understandably, isn't willing to sacrifice her carpet to DD's accidents in those first couple weeks but she's willing to support our PT efforts if we agree to pull-ups. Obviously, Pull-Ups would defeat the whole point of doing the 3 day method. 

I'm looking at Kawaii's training pants and they look promising. They're cotton, so they should feel like underwear, sorta, and just wondering if anyone has experience with this? DD should be able to feel when she's gone in them, unlike the moisture wicking pockets, so maybe they wouldn't ruin all our progress after 3 intensive days? Or are they just like Pull Ups?

Obviously, I would need to request that DCP still treat accidents as accidents and to pay close enough attention to notice them rather immediately, but those issues aside, her carpet should be protected and we could keep her in normal undies at home. Any experience you all can share is much appreciated!
