My SIL said that she will BF until 6 months and then evaluate her situation, meaning if her DS is teething and biting her, she might stop. I asked her if she'd then switch to formula with the addition to solids. She said no formula, because she'll have a big enough freezer stash to last her until her DS is 1 yr old. She has a separate freezer chest which i've read keeps the milk for 6 months. I'm guessing she'll slowly stop BFing and pumping after her DS reaches 6 months if she's getting bitten.
Aside from the fact that many people believe that you should push through teething and keep BFing because it's better than frozen milk...is this a feasible option? I never thought of being able to use frozen milk for that long. She's had an oversupply ever since her baby was born and has been filling a 5 cubic ft freezer ever since then. Have any of you done this or know someone who has?

If you have to use donor milk, it's frozen. I wouldn't think it would make a huge difference, even though fresh is probably better.
