We are officially TTC #1, and after looking at the SSA list for 2012, our list has expanded. Please tell me your thoughts on these! The middle names are: Louise, Marilyn and Seavey for girls and Richard or Davis for boys - all are family names.
We have a three syllable Italian last name beginning with T and ending in the "yuh" sound. While DH is italian, I am irish - so our name choices are all over the place.
We are definitely open to suggestions!!
Girls:
Isla
Serafina (DH isn't 100% sure on this one)
Estella (nn Stella)
Georgia
Saoirse
Olive

Luna
Lola
Winter
January (more of a GP for me)
Boys:
Finnegan (nn Finn)
Luca
Maxwell (nn Max)
Xander
Rhys
Henry
Evan
Everett (nn Rhett)
Feel free to be brutally honest! I won't get my feelings hurt. Thanks!
Re: What do you think?
Isla: Fine.Super trendy, but pretty.
Serafina: Very pretty, a little on the frilly side.
Estella (nn Stella): From your description of your last name, I would be concerned about this being sing-songy.
Georgia: lovely
Saoirse: I have real problems with this name. I cannot get over the association it has to terrorist organizations in Ireland like the RSF. Unless you speak Irish and are committed to the political causes that use this name prominently in their publications, I would be very careful about it. To me, it is similar to naming a kid Jihad ? very positive connotations for some people, very negative for others.
Olive: spunky and cute
Reese: meh, too androgynous for my taste
Luna: Love! Luna was on our short list for a girl.
Lola: I can see the appeal of Lola, but it is a bit on the sexxxy side for me.
Winter: sweet
January: I could get behind it.
Boys:
Finnegan (nn Finn): Cute
Luca: Love!
Maxwell (nn Max): I like just Max.
Xander: I can only think of Xander on Buffy. It seems like a name that is trying really hard to be cool ? just like poor Xander.
Rhys: not a fan, but it gets good reviews around here
Henry: strong
Evan: kind of boring
Everett (nn Rhett): I like Everett, don't like Rhett. I really hate Gone With the Wind.

Estella Seavey and Evan Richard
I'd get rid of
Isla, over the popularity of it
Saorise, I don't like combined with Italian last name
Lola, Winter and January
I like Serafina, Olive, Georgia and Reese
I like Henry, Rhys, Maxwell, Xander and Everett and Luca.
I don't like Finnegan paired with an Italian last name.
For boys, I love Maxwell Richard and Luca Davis. I like Henry Davis, Evan Richard and Everett Davis. The rest are NMS but again there's nothing wrong with any of them.
So with all that said, my favorites are Georgia Louise and Maxwell Richard!

*Taking a break*
Winter Louise
Evan Richard
(We also have the 3 syllable Italian last name ending in "ah" and decided AGAINST having a very Italian sounding first name for that reason, but that was us. We were just a little worried about her sounding like a mob wife..."Antonella Sophia DeLuca" was not in the cards for us.)
Girls:
Isla - It's a pretty name, I just can't get passed how much it will be mispronounced.
Serafina (DH isn't 100% sure on this one) - I LOVE Seraphina! Beautiful!
Estella (nn Stella) - It's ok, NMS
Georgia - I like Georgina better
Saoirse- The pronunciation on this one is impossible to get unless you already know the name. Big turn off for me.
Olive - Very cute and sweet
Reese - No matter how it is spelled, it is still a boy name to me.
Luna - Also very sweet
Lola - I don't like it as a whole name
Winter - Like
January (more of a GP for me) - Not a fan
Boys:
Finnegan (nn Finn) - Not a fan
Luca - Like
Maxwell (nn Max) - Ok
Xander - LOVE this! It's my DS's name
Rhys - LOVE! If this LO would have been a boy Rhys would have been his middle name.
Henry - Like
Evan - Ok
Everett (nn Rhett) - LOVE! If this LO would have been a boy his first name would have been Everett. We had chosen Everett Rhys.
