DH has orders, and we're moving to Ridgecrest, CA this summer. Is anyone out there? Any advice about the pre-natal care out there? Or really, advice about anything?
I'm slightly apprehensive about moving to the middle of the desert!
Ridgecrest is VERY small. Depending on where you are coming from, it may be a little bit of a culture shock. We are stationed a few hours from Ridgecrest and one of my best friends grew up there. From what I've heard, the base does not offer prenatal care. I do know the schools are good and it's a safe community!
Good luck with your move! I hope you adjust quickly!
Thanks! I'm on Tricare Standard anyways, since I prefer to choose my own providers. That's really good to hear that the schools are good and the community is a safe one. I've been trying to learn everything I can about it on the internet, but it's really difficult to get the "feel" of a place without actually going there.
