I use a combination of Bumkins flannel wipes and just some cut up flannel fabric my MIL had in her basement. She used the ugliest flannel she had, but it was fine, since it's going to be used to wipe poop anyway!

I bought some flannel on sale and cut into 7 inch squares and sewed them together, double layered. I keep some wet, some dry. I don't wet many at a time, and when I do they're in a wipe solution of water, coconut oil, and tea tree oil and they stay in my wipe warmer. Most of the time I'm too lazy to keep up with that, though, and I just keep a stack of dry wipes by the bathroom sink and wet a couple with just water on my way to the diaper change lol.
We use plain old terry wash cloths an they work perfectly. We keep them dry and have a spray bottle with water and a drop of baby wash on the changing table.
I bought some wipes (Bummis flannel and kissaluvs hemp), but I made most of them because you need so many! I cut squares out of old tshirts with pinking shears. No sewing and they haven't frayed at all.
We make wipe solution with Sheepish Grins washy wafers. I keep wet wipes in a container in our bedroom for night changes. The change table and diaper bag I keep dry wipes and solution in a spray bottle and spray her bum-she loves it. For the newborn stage we just used warm water because their skin is so delicate.
I made my own; flannel on one side, cotton velour on the other. LOVE THEM! They are 8 by 8 inches, and I keep them dry in a basket. When I need to change a diaper, I just wet 1, maybe 2, under running water in the sink. I've never needed to use more than 2 wipes, even on the messiest poo diapers. The benefits of cloth wipes versus disposable wipes!!! I take them out and about dry too; there's always water around somewhere, or I have a waterbottle with me.
I used to use baby wash in a spray bottle with water, but didn't find that it really did much to help clean. I guess some 'wipe solutions' that you can buy can add some nice scent and some soap maybe, but I haven't really found it necessary to be honest.
Re: Wipes
We have flannel/sherpa wipes from a local store. We buy Knickernappies Baby Bum Drops to make a spray, and we spray the wipes before use.
Well, sometimes I spray her bum to make her giggle. ;o)
