Mobile- What happened to May flowers?
APRIL SHOWERS, not May Showers. What the hell is with all this rain in NY. Rain always puts me in a funk. You know the kind where it's 10am and I still haven't brushed my teeth and have no immediate plans to shower.
I'm having a mini panic attack looking at the upcoming forecast for next week. Reveal party is planned for next sunday on my roof which has no coverage from the rain. My apartment is too small to have it inside plus I have 2 dogs who will just bark at my friends the whole time they are here. I know the forecast can still change a million times before then but I need the rain gods to be gentle and back the F off. I can't postpone the party since a bunch of people too off of work to make it.
Side note- I think they had enough fun with me on my wedding day. 7 inches of rain with an outdoor ceremony. It all worked out and i'm sure this will too but the sun should show its face for at least one of the parties I plan.
Re: What happened to may flowers?
I don't think I could do a covering on the roof. When it rains it will get windy up there. I have a communal yard that could potentially house a rent but I just looked at rentals and they are $300 for a small tent. That's crazy.
My wedding was August which is usually dry and in the 80s or 90s here. Had crazy rain and only 60 degrees for my wedding. The following weekend was hurricane Irene so it could have been worse lol
It was August 2011. The following weekend was hurricane Irene so It could have had it worse. I was a wedding planner and I had to cancel both weddings for that weekend bc all of DUMBO Brooklyn flooded. It was horrible.
We got hit hard with the April Showers. Our areas still getting over the flooding.
But the May flowers are definitely here for us. My entire front yard is a beautiful shade of yellow. The dandelions are quite plentiful this year. I just might agree to letting my husband try to do something about it.
