So we'll probably do a nice dinner when he gets home at 7. It'll be just me and the boy all day. Which is fine bc we still have plans Sat, I just haven't had more than a few hours w H in weeks.
He'll be home Saturday. I am getting a gel mani and a pedi, then my friend is babysitting and we're going to see Gatsby. I am excited for this I have barely seen H lately.
My gift is sort of hilarious. H did a one off freelance gig the other day, they paid him cash and he came home and just handed me the benjamins. So I got myself a PPB backpack ($90 on Rue lala!) and will do some small things for myself like the mani/pedi. Also looking for a rug for our living room.
We might go to church. Then brunch with my inlaws. Then we're stopping at my dads to see my stepmom. And lastly we're going to a BBQ on my moms side. As for a gift, I don't know, doubt it. I sent him a link for what I wanted, but nothing has come in the mail so unless he got something else I'm not expecting anything. We're just giving the grandmoms new pictures of the baby. I did her six month pictures last weekend, so I'm just throwing them in frames. Contemplating on making coasters out I'd tiles and pictures. Doubt ill have time.
We are having breakfast at home. I was hoping for just the three of us, but it looks like MIL will be coming as well. Then off to an early afternoon BBQ at my parents house. DH's immediate family is invited as well, so we can celebrate with both of our families at the same time. I made these for each grandma (photo-wrapped canvases):
So, I best be getting a gift, if not from DH, then at least from them! Haha, actually, I know my mom is getting me something small, I just don't know what.
ETA: I'm super excited about them, so I had to show them off!
DH and I plan on going to the lake for a walk and Icecream, then we will be going out to our close family friends for a BBQ. Not sure if I will be getting a gift, last year I got flowers even though I was only pregnant. I would be be happy with breakfast in bed...preferably waffles, strawberries and whipping cream.
I already gave my mom her gift. I paid for a pedi while she was on vacay in Chicago. I am getting a tattoo done on the 14th so MH is putting money towards that.
On actual mother's day we'll be packing, it's our last weekend day before the movers come next weekend. I told DH I'm not making dinner, and he knows to give me a card, sadly that's it for now. We had a bet over the March Madness tournament where the loser plans a date night and DH lost, so that's sort of turning into a delayed mother's day gift for me.... he's going to give my present then. I reminded him I wanted a bracelet that had birthstones or initials for both of my boys because I knew I'd be super disappointed if he forgot.
Yes, I got a card for DH to send to his mom and I got my mom a super cute frame on Etsy that says "lucky to call you grandma Raylan" and will print a picture of him to go in it. The only reason my mom gets a gift and not MIL is because my mom has been a HUGE help watching him so we can pack. Normally, I'd just do a card for her because honestly my parents don't need gifts.
Married the love of my life 7/11/09 - Our first baby, Peyton Mark, was born sleeping 10/25/11 at 33 weeks - Our second baby, BFP 2/4/12, welcome to the world Raylan! Holy Moly, BPF 2/4/14, please be safe and sound little one!

did you guys find a house in the area you wanted? what happened with your realtor debacle?
We didn't buy a house yet, there was a new community being built we really liked but didn't know pricing, but now pricing is out and we can afford it. Sooo, we're renting a townhouse near there and hopefully will buy in the first phase or two of the new development. We're keeping our friend realtor even though he's screwed up many times because he is literally saving us 10k, so we're just doing more work ourselves.

Church then I'm taking the girls to grants farm with my mom, grandma, brother, sil and nephew. DH is taking his mom to a movie. That evening all of mil's family is coming over to il's house and all the men and non mothers are making a meal. I get to drink wine watch dd1 run around their back yard and play with dd2
