Experienced mommas, I need some golden nuggets of wise info lol. Both boys are officially crawlers. Yay for them, and it's been so stinkin cute watching them get around and discover. However, I'm sure like a million other moms on the planet, I have hard wood floors and pets. So my issue is that no matter how much I clean, I have hair and fuzz all over the floors, they are constantly getting into the dogs toys (the dog thinks its WONDERFUL that he has 2 little people to play with so he brings out all his toys to play tug of war), and when they fall, they're falling on hard floors. They don't fall often, but when they do its a clunk and I feel terrible. By 9am this morning I pulled probably 15 pieces of frayed dog toy pieces from them before putting them in their mouths and wiped fur for their hands about a million times. Any extraordinary words of wisdom on how to manage this and still be sane by days end? TIA.

Re: Babies on the move!! Help!! :)
Pack N Plays and play yards! Seriously keeping them corralled is important. My dog isn't into toys but the ones we have got put up high - not sure if you can take all your dog's toys from them
Can you get one room really really babyproofed? The girls room is really safe and so we spent alot of time in their crawling and playing when they were in that phase.
i went out and bought the swiffer today!!! Hoping it works as well as it looks like it should.
also relocated the dogs toys . I feel so bad for him but it had to be done.
Thanks ladies. It's all fun and games now .
I got a lot of grief from family/friends about 'completely babyproofing a room" but, I needed a place of 'sanctuary' if you will, that I knew if the boys were in there without me for 5 minutes when I went to the RR, that they would not pull something down, try to eat something they shouldn't, open something that they shouldn't, etc. We proofed our livingroom, with gates and latches and soft corner pads, etc during that time. IT was a sanity saver. Now, that they are 2.5, we have started (around 18 months) adding elements of life before babies, to the room a little at a time, and they leave the stuff alone. Most of the time
I will be honest. i have not kept anything out of the way of babies. That said I also don't let them play with dangerous things. Mine have been crawling for awhile and are used to all my friend's dogs. I have been teaching them the meaning of "no" as well. Both of mine know to stop when they hear their name and "no."
Took awhile to get to this point but it's been nice.
