DD has been routinely finishing her 2 oz bottles and I'm thinking she might be ready for 3 oz. How do you make a 3 oz? Eyeball half a scoop or do you make a 6 oz and split it between 2 bottles and refrigerate for later? My only issue when the latter is having to heat it to room temperature at night. I don't think she'll eat a full 4 oz and I'd rather not have to throw out the rest.
I can't believe how much I've forgotten since DS was a baby!
I make one BIG thing of milk for the whole day then at night before we go to bed I make 4 bottles so that way we can do everything right I dont got to worry about it being to much or to little I also know if the bottles are not ready to go DH wont feed him cause he'll be half asleep in the middle of the night.
I've always struggled with this because I didn't want to eyeball. I'd just make 4 in the middle of the night because I didn't feel like getting up and refrigerating. During the day, I'd premake it and measure what I needed. FWIW, you could be totally neurotic and measure the grams for 1/2 scoop because they list 1 scoop ok the formula. I considered this but told myself to relax! Lol
my LO eats 5 oz so we just eyeball it at 1/2 a scoop. For daycare we make a big jug and send it with her. We use a bottle warmer to warm up her formula.
