Newborn questions bamboo inserts tia

I cd my daughter who is 22 months. I hated how bulky any cd was on her when she was younger (I started at 6 mo). With that in mind I know I won't start cding dd 2 until 2 or 3 weeks and probably only during the day unless of course it goes really well then maybe ill jump all in. I don't want to over spend knowing I'm not fully committed for the first few months. So I have 30 os pockets, some prefolds and covers. Here's my question: is it worth investing in nb bamboo inserts for my one sizes? Are they that much trimmer and more absorbent? I'm thinking I could always use them as a doubler for dd1. Any thoughts on this would be more than Appriciated.

Re: Newborn questions bamboo inserts tia

  • The Alva 3 layer bamboo inserts are VERY trim. Idk if I'd get the NB ones, I'd get the regular OS ones though, unless you are going to use NB diapers. OS diapers won't fit until baby is about 12 lbs. So I would get the OS bamboo for the OS diaper. They are more absorbant than MF

  • I use the Alva NB bamboo inserts in my Alva NB pockets and Alva NB blend inserts in my Kawaii PN pockets. I think they would be too small for the OS pockets I have, but I do plan to use them as doublers when we eventually move up to OS.
