How do you prepare chicken and meats to give to your LO as finger food? We have tried giving DD a little piece of chicken and it seemed pretty tender but she had a really hard time with it.
My daughter had a hard time with shredded chicken but we just figured out she loves ground turkey! I brown it and its already crumbled and makes a great finger food!

We cook it as we normally would and give DS a "finger" of it. He tears pieces off with hi teeth. He's been doing that since he had just his two bottom teeth and hasn't had any problem with it.
I cook it on the stove top in water until tender. Then I shred it. She gets chicken down no problem. But we tried ground beef in a mini burger patty and that went down real tough. We'll just try again in a few weeks.

This. He's only had stew chicken so far and it was really tender after sitting in the crockpot all day.
we usually cut up a lot!
DD has a hard time with shredded chicken because it involves more chewing than bananas or sweet potatoes.
