Talk to me about "compression"

We have leakage issues overnight and a lot of posts I read about ON leaks use this term "compression."   I'm not really getting the concept.  Can you educate this FT CDer?

When MF gets squished, it leaks.

More likely, you just need more absorbency. Either way, try adding or subbing in more hemp or bamboo. What are you using now?

We're using BG 4.0.  I was looking into hemp and bamboo inserts to use for ON.  Currently, for ON, we use one full size MF BG insert and one newborn one.

Any favorites for hemp or bamboo inserts?

I love my applecheeks bamboo.

Thing about wringing out a sopping wet rag. That's functionally the equivalent of a fat baby rolling over on a pee soaked MF insert.

We use Thirsties Hemp insert behind the large BG insert. Works great!
