Toddler proof diaper pail

We had to take a long break from cloth due to recurring severe rashes that I could not stop. When we stopped I was putting diapers in a metal trash can with a foot pedal lid with a pail liner inside. This worked fine bc he was cruising and couldn't get to the pail. Now he's walking and into everything, especially putting into things so how do I prevent every toy he has from joining dirty diapers??

Simplehuman makes a step trash can with locking lid. Provided your LO can't figure out the locking mechanism.

Our ubbi pail has a locking feature as well.

DS has started getting into ours, too. I am considering just going with a wet bag and hanging it up somewhere.

We hang a wetbag on a hook on the back of the door. When we used sposies I had a diaper genie. It's nice to no longer have a diaper pail on the floor.
