I went to the park alone today

We had to leave after 30 minutes because DD wouldn't listen to me and I wanted to "stand firm" but it went well. We walked and I had one of the boys on my back and the other two little angels in the stroller. lol. Anyone want to share some accomplishments? It sure did feel good to get out by myself. It's nice out so we hung out in the yard for a bit afterwards. Oh, the little things..

  • Whew, good job, momma! You are probably wore out! I didn't accomplish much today, but we were in town allll morning and part of the afternoon. The babies never got a decent nap, but they were pretty well behaved! I was proud of them.

  • This past week we went to the park a few times by ourselves. P is walking a lot but still crawls from time to time. L only walks a few steps at a time and mostly crawls. I was able to put them on the baby swings at the same time and we took turns going down a small slide and then finished our 2mi loop. We even did a park play group with our mom's group but they didn't try walking or interacting with the other kids. I'm sure it will be easier when they are walking themselves and willing to climb up things but then again I'll have to chase them LOL.

  • great job! I am always terrified they will run in two different directions when we are at the park, I can't imagine 3! :) (but will have a better understanding in 1.5 years I guess! Lol) I too, have to do the same 'firm stance' otherwise my boys are fearless and try anything once, twice, or a few times. So when they do not follow directions (to stay safe...minor little things are different), then we get in the car and go home. HARD to do, but I agree, necessary to keep the idea that we mean what we say.
God gave me a double portion for my inheritance with my little Mighty men :) 9/19/10 Baby A born at 1:47 am 6lbs 14oz, 20.5inches long. Baby B born at 3:20 am 6lbs 6oz, 19.5inches long. My double blessing!:)
