What to take when you are sick

Hi ladies. Today of all days I wake up with a terrible cold. Sore throat, body aches, head ache. Yuck.

I usually just get through these things without medicine, but we have a huge day planned. The great grand parents are driving 6 hours in to visit the baby along with the grand parents. I have to get the house clean and maintain energy throughout the day.

What can I take for this? What should I NOT take? I am EBF. Thanks!
