Recommend your lightweight stroller please....

I have a jogging stroller, but that is too big sometimes for shopping in department stores.  I am looking for a lightweight stroller, similiar to an umbrella stroller, but one that reclines and has a sun shade.

Please let me know if you have one which one you prefer.  Not looking to spend a ton of money, but something around $60.

I don't have a lightweight stroller, but Contours Lite was on my list when I was doing stroller research a long time ago. The Arpica looks neat too, but is pricier.

  • I recently got the Chicco Echo from Target.  I haven't tried it out yet so I can't recommend it based on use, but it looks great!  I love the colors and it folds up like an umbrella stroller, seat reclines all the way back. The sun shade is not impressive, but I'm used to the humongous shade on my city mini.

  • Love this one it folds up easy. Reclines and has a large cargo area for bags. And I got it on amazon for under 50 bucks with free shipping.

This is ours, but we have it in an adorable Kelly green color and I'm obsessed with it. It reclines and the sunshade provides more shade than a lot I've seen. It is a cinch to fold and unfold and has been great so far.

Like you, I got it for shopping trips and such because the jogger is just too hard to steer in stores and my travel set stroller is just too bulky and a pain int he a$$ to get in and out of the car.

We've been using this for our evening walks around the neighborhood:The First Years by Tomy Jet Stroller - Charcoal Black

The First Years by Tomy Jet Stroller - Charcoal Black. We bought ours at Buy buy Baby, it is about $60.

I was looking at getting this one or the ignite by First Year's...how does it handle on grass?

  • Chico liteway. It fully reclines, has a good size basket and folds relatively compact

It works alright. I wouldn't use it for prolonged off-roading hikes but we had to cross a 50 foot green space the other night and it was fine.

For example, we went to the arboretum recently and the trails were pretty rustic (think mulch not paved) and we used our UppaBaby stroller. The umbrella would not have worked well.

  • I have a Chico Liteway. I think it handles great and Cooper loves sitting in it! It is a tad pricey (I got mine for a steal at $69 on clearance @ BRU) I think the one they have at target is very comparable. I would like more under seat storage, but it is sufficient.
