Today was our a/s. It was a little challenging emotionally because the u/s was in the same room with the same tech who discovered our last loss. Besides that the a/s went great. They were able to see everything and everything looked good. We found out we are Team Pink! Yay!
Unfortunately we also discovered that despite having a cerclage placed at 12w my cervix is shortening from the inside. Last week my cervix measured 3.4cm and today it was 1.3cm.
No more work for me, though he did say I could do light computer work from home. No chores, no lifting, no nothing. They asked if I would prefer to be in the hospital or at home. I chose home so I could be with DH and our pets. I'm allowed to use the bathroom, shower, and make a quick snack.
DH and I are trying to take this all in and process it. It certainly wasn't how I imagined my pregnancy. I keep telling myself, "Eyes on the prize."
I asked our FNP for some goals to focus on. Our first goal is for no more loss of length and a possible increase in cervical length. 2nd goal is 24w. Then 28w. Then week by week after that. I'm being monitored closely and will have weekly checkups for the near future.
Mentally I can do this. Now we just need my body to cooperate.
Re: And....I'm on bedrest...
I asked my doctor for tips and she suggested setting up a bed in different rooms. Since you are allowed to use the washroom you can move to another room afterwards.
She also mentioned a bed rest support group. There is one in our area and basically they set you up with someone who is as far along as you and you can call/email each other. I know sidelines also offers this but it's an online resource.
FX for an increase in cervical length, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the kind words, ladies. Kitties are happy with the increased snuggle time!
I was on bed rest for a week after my cerclage and came up with a decent schedule involving mornings upstairs in bed and afternoons/evening downstairs on the futon.
I feel bad for DH because of the added stress this puts on him.

I'm sorry to hear about your cervix. I had a similar situation (although no cerclage). I was put on home bed rest at 21w, admitted to the ante-partum unit at 23w,5d. Like you, our 1st goal was 24w, then 28w. Bed rest is so hard and I totally get your frustration and feeling badly for DH, but your "eyes on the prize" attitude is awesome.
TBH, I feel much more secure in the hospital and my DH has said the same. I guess home and hospital each have pros and cons.
Hang in there - and congrats on TEAM PINK!!

I love my rainbow baby!
So sorry about the bed rest. That sounds really hard. I'm happy you got a choice between hospital vs. home and you could make a the decision that's best for you (and I would have gone with home, too!). I'm sure once you come up with a plan/routine, it won't be so bad. Plus your baby girl gets to cook for that much longer! Hang in there.
And congrats on the healthy baby, too!

Thanks, everyone. I'm thankful that LO is doing well and we will do what we have to to keep her cooking as long as possible.
Thank you very much for the generous thought. I'm well stocked with media and potentially some work. I have a goal of reading 55 books this year and have only read 8 so far. Maybe I can make some decent progress on this goal!

Congratulations on Team Pink!
Your attitude going into bedrest is just what you need. I'm hopefully just coming off of bedrest this Thursday, and that thought is what has kept me sane over the past 16 weeks. I hope that bedrest keeps your cervix in check, and that everything goes swimmingly.
I'm glad everything with your girl looks good!
