I like both, but Jack is one of my favorites ever.  I don't necessarily have a reason why, at least that I'm aware of.  I find it simple and classic, I guess.

Jack. I think it is so cute on a baby and it ages really well. I also have a good association because I have an uncle Jack. I have also been watching lost and there was a creepy guy named Ethan. It's really popular but I still like Jack

You can't go wrong with either of them but I personally prefer Jack. I feel like it fits all ages better than Ethan.

I like the way Ethan looks written, but I prefer the way Jack sounds.  I think Ethan is pretty timeless and generally has a more educated, "classical" feel than Jack (ex: Jack-of-all-trades; jack-legged; etc).  But here in the south it always sounds like EEEthn.
