We are reconsidering CDing and have decided to purchase 2 or 3 to get an idea of what will work best for us. I have looked into fitteds and AIOs. I have it narrowed down to three... a Thirsties Duo AIO, a Thirsties Duo, a Thirsties Duo Fitted, but would possibly like to try another brand as well. I was talking with a few other moms who swear by Alva... so I thought of trying their pockets as well. Thoughts, suggestions? I feel pretty overwhelmed.
Thanks!
Re: Jumping in...
Is this for a NB baby or an older baby?
An Alva definitely won't fit a NB, and there's a good chance the Thirsties won't either, depending on how big baby is.
If it is for a NB I'd suggest trying a Green Mountain Diaper workhorse fitted, a Kawaii Pure & Natural AIO, and my personal favorite an Imagine or Green Mountain Diaper prefold with a Thirsties Duo Size 1 Cover.
If it's for an older baby, I don't have any experience with Alvas,, so I can't comment on that. The Thirsties Duo AIOs are not bad, but definitely get it in snaps, not aplix. Thirsties Aplix is terrible. I'd also suggest trying a Swaddlebees Simplex or a Tots Bots Easy Fit if you want to try an AIO. For pockets I really like Rumparooz and actually Bum Genius 4.0s are quite versatile for the price.
Thank you! He is currently 2 months.
