Laundry detergent: liquid or powder?

I see Tide Free and Clear is recommended a lot around here.  I'm wondering do you use liquid or powder?  I have a front loader if it makes a difference, thanks for your help!

Re: Laundry detergent: liquid or powder?

  • I use original Tide powder.

  • There's something in liquid that can lead to build up. Most lists of CD safe detergent specify powder.

  • We have a top loader but use powdered.  I've just been using our CD detergent for our clothes.  It's easier. ;)

  • Most sites recommend powder, but with our crazy weird hard water I found the liquid worked better.
