MIL Monday

I had to start this today. My In laws were here this weekend. My mil feels the need to tidy up my house, normally that would be great except she does it because my way of cleaning isn't up to her standards. She cringes anytime I ask DH to do anything baby or house cleaning related. And DH sit there and plays it up like I'm the mean one when in reality he has no problem doing those things and most the time does it on his own. I can't win.

I would totally be punching DH for this. I actually said to him once, in front of his mother, "I'm your wife, not your mom" when he was giving me a hard time about cleaning off the table after dinner. MIL about died but I did not care!

This is an il vent, but I figure it belongs here

dh's aunt and uncle have been having a rough financial time. Long story short, uncle got laid off over a year ago, and worked an hourly retail job with. O benefits until he got hired in his line of work again. Aunt hasn't worked for over 20 years. They have no children. 

We keep hearing about how they are in deep, and might go into foreclosure. They have a $200 a month cable package, a flat screen tv bigger than my living room, he buys new guns all the time, etc. etc. Dh wants to butcher one of our hogs and give it to them because they are doing so poorly. Um, hell to the no. Not until they make some sacrifices that sow me that they are actually having financial struggles. We count on those animals as part of our income.

I agree with you. I they are in south financial trouble they should be willing to sacrifice so they can keep up with things that are needed.
