What is the opposite of buyers remorse? Im in the market to buy a new house, something that I could get cheap in this market then turn in a few years for a quick 50k to buy another multifamily. But I think this baby is effecting my better judgement. A house came up for quite the steal of a price. It didn't by any means meet all my standards, but everything inside was brand new and it was a 3-bed. I argued with my husband, who was gung-ho to put in an offer. I thought the 2 parking spaces were "basically on the lawn" the shower was on the first flr but the bedrooms on the second (this is strange isnt it?) and it didn't have much closet space. Well NOW I'm completely regretting not putting an offer in. The house came off the market in 3 days! UGHHH It would be so nice to be moving sooner then later. I hope this vent can make me forget this place existed.

Re: Remorse
I do think it strange to have the only shower on a separate floor from the bedrooms. Plus was there only one bathroom in the house?
That plus small closets should make you glad you passed, I finally live in a house with ample closet space and it is GLORIOUS! (And we got our house for a steal too, although we did have to put quite a bit of work into it.)
Depends on the type of house - to the bolded part. I know a lot of Capes around here the bedrooms are upstairs but the only bathroom is downstairs so around here that is fairly common. Also older houses tend to have smaller closet space because people didn't have many clothes and/or as much "stuff" as we tend to have now.
We had similar thing happen. We found a 3100 sq ft home for $250K in a neighborhood where the houses start at about $350K. It needed work, but it would have been an investment that would have banked us probably 50k-100k in a couple years. Unfortunately we waited and someone snagged it up, but I keep telling myself it there was a reason that we didn't get it.
If you were hesitant there was a reason for it, something else will defintely come a long that's a better fit for you!
Was there a bathroom on the floor with the bedrooms? I pee waaaaay to much, even when not pregnant, to have to go all the way down stairs to use the bathroom.
And closet space was a huge deal for us, We looked at one house that had NO CLOSETS. It was weird. Then there was another house who had closets but they were on the outside of the rooms, I don't understand what some people think when they build stuff like this.
