My husband forgot to put out the trash this morning before he went to work!!! Seriously my BIGGEST pet peave. So I went outside (a bra-less, hot mess with a kid) to drag out the trash before the truck came around.

One of our dogs woke up and wouldn't put weight on her back legs. Took her to the emergency vet and they said she had slipped discs. She had surgery yesterday and probably won't come home until Wednesday. This surgery is costing about $4K.
I'm just so scared for our dog and the care she will require once she comes home. I just want her to be okay. Plus shelling out thousands of dollars wasn't really in our budget.
Sigh.
I'm so sorry to hear about your doggy. :-( I understand the whole shelling out thousands for a pet, but they are family. Our Lab had a stroke to her spine about 3 years ago and we spent thousands on her. She is currently paralazyed from the waist down but gets around with her front paws and has a special wheelchair to go outside. She is also able to hold her bowels, for the most part.
My husband takes her outside because she is heavy and I can't lift her. I'm sure your doggy will be just fine and will recover wonderfully, since they can fix the problem she was having.

Oh no - I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. It's so scary to have a hurting pup. She's lucky she has you.
I promise to never forget that this little dude deserves just as much love after the baby comes as he has now.

To my Hubby- Thank for you for taking out the trash for us without me asking, but if I have to go to the trashcan to throw out, say a dirty diaper, and there is no new trashbag in there I might punch you in the balls... Love, your wife.
He does it every time! That's why I don't feel bad for leaving like three pairs of my sandals at the door :-)
Mine is that I'm GREAT at my job but my company is a culture where they only tell you when you mess something up. I really wish, just once, that someone would say "good job" to me. Or "wow, that must have taken a lot of work, thank you." Or "Thanks for sending that analysis at midnight last night - it was really helpful."
I don't need people to kiss my arse all the time, but it sure would be motivational to have someone tell me that they recognize my talent.
Rahhr!

People who go to the ER for every ache and pain in pregnancy.... Totally understand pregnancy is scary and a 9 month anxiety attack but the ER is for emergencies... Call your drs after hours line or wait til morning. Because there's nothing they can do if you're miscarrying, they aren't OB experts and will diagnose you with threatened abortion every time and you'll leave confused, frustrated and a large copay poorer..... Ugh.
Pee on the floor. There are lots of things that get me, but pee on the floor is a huge issue to me.
He doesn't pee directly on the floor, it splashes out. But seriously, when there is enough that my feet feel a bit sticky after going into the bathroom, it is time for a bitchfest.
My boss is out of town for the week and put me in charge of our team in his absence. He specifically said last week to the whole team that we were still to have a meeting this morning and I was to run it. Out of ten people on my team, three of us showed up this morning. But if I wouldn't have been there, all hell would've broken loose. I hate the double standard!
And on a pregnancy related note, when we were checking out at publix last night, I put a bag of skittles AND a kit kat bar in the basket, and DH looked at me like I had three heads. He asked me if I really needed BOTH of them. Probably overreacting, but I was so mad I cried. YES, I need BOTH of them.
Guess who I don't want to hear from with fewer than 24 hours until we close on our house? The loan officer. Guess who just called?
The state housing authority wants a copy of a document that I took to her office a month ago and she chose not to make a copy of. A document that is currently at my house, twenty minutes away.
I swear this woman lives to stress me out. We had to extend our due diligence date twice because of her. TWICE.
Claire- I hope your dog is okay Sending you guys some prayers..
My husband works at least 60 hours a week. A few weeks ago he worked 95 hours in one week. I love how hardworking he is. It is one of the reasons I fell in love with him but whenever he gets a day off (which is rare) he wants to go to my MIL. He needs to help her with something, or he wants to pick up something he left there and then he stays there for hours. We just closed on a house in December that was abandoned for 3 years. I need every moment he gets here helping me get this house presentable before the baby comes. It drives me insane. He knew I was mad last night so he did all of the laundry haha.
I'm directing a melodrama for a local non-profit theater group and last night 2 of our 3 main characters were 20 minutes late. No one (except my hubby) knows that I'm pregnant. So last night when I finally had a full cast in the room, I let them have it. I think I used the words "I've been patient, but MY SHOW NEEDS TO BE YOUR PRIORITY NOW!" My husband just sort of giggled while sitting in back knowing that I was scaring the bejeezus out of the entire cast. But hopefully I got my point across.
parents are driving me crazy. I seriously don't know why I plan trips with them!
End of May I have a meeting for work in Florida for 5 days, my dad's side of the family lives 40 minutes away from my meeting, so I am going early with DS and parents to see family, and then my parents will stay with DS while I have to work.
They are constantly asking me about when we are going to get ready for trip..I don't even know what they want for me! I travel 4-5times a year for work, I know how to pack, when to pack, what time I need to be at the airport, and what to pack for DS.
If I get one more phone call asking if I have a stroller, car seat, and food for DS for the trip, I am going to freak out. I am exhausted, I get no sleep, I am busy at work...and even though I am excited for my trip..it's not even on my mind right now.
Yesterday they were over and grilling me about stuff I need to get for DS...I know, leave me alone...I have traveled by myself with DS before, I am pretty sure I know what to do.
To my Hubby- Thank for you for taking out the trash for us without me asking, but if I have to go to the trashcan to throw out, say a dirty diaper, and there is no new trashbag in there I might punch you in the balls... Love, your wife.

my husband does the same exact thing!!! so annoying!!
My IL's came to town this weekend for the SPECIFIC reason of watching DD so H and I could start packing up our house for when we move in 3 weeks. On Saturday I was super sick and H had to go into work, so nothing got done and that was fine. But yesterday, IL's complained how they don't ever get to see H so they wanted us to go to lunch and then go take DD to this inflatable play place....we were gone ALL DAY!!!! When we finally got home, I had a terrible headache and my back was killing me. So over the drama that ensues every time they visit. If I tell them we have other stuff to do, I'm a b*tch and I'm sick of it. Ugh!!!
My in laws live out of state, so I sent them a pictures of our sonogram and my mil wrote back ONE word: "sweet". Yeahhhh and this coming from the woman who has been asking when she's going to get grandchildren?!?
Hi soozerella! Pretty sure she got it, it showed the "read" notification : lol. I seriously just don't understand her. I guess in laws keep it interesting though! Haha

This. Why is it so hard to go that one last step of replacing the trash bag/liner?!
Men can only get one step done and then they stop. It's pathetic. My husband does the same bullcrap
Not all men are idiots. I married one who can complete a task.
So DS usually wakes up between 6:30am - 7am but this morning he woke up at 6am. Normally I make him a bottle, change his diaper and then he lays in bed with me drinking his bottle watching some cartoons (judge me if you want I really don't care). This will normally buy me at least another half hour - 45 mins of light sleep. Well this morning the stupid box in our room wouldn't link to the receiver on the main tv so he couldn't watch cartoons. He was pointing at the tv and grunting at me to turn on cartoons. We finally went downstairs and I was napping on the couch and he kept coming over and hitting me with toys. Now I have to call Dish to figure out what the hell is wrong with the box.
And DS cut down to one nap a day but it was a really good 2 - 3 hour nap. Well for the past couple days he has only been napping for an hour. This results in a cranky mommy and a cranky baby.

1. I wish people would type shorter paragraphs so it's easier for me to skim. There may be a total gem of greatness buried in a post, but sometimes they're just too long for me to dig. It's like shopping at Marshall's.
2. DH went to a concert last night and didn't get home until almost midnight. I only dozed until he got home. THEN my internal alarm clock went off at 3:25am. I want to curl up under my desk and sleep.
3. My room is freezing today. Freezing! Last week it was an absolute sauna. Why is it so hard to figure it a building's temperature so the people inside are comfortable. Grrrr.
DH is hyper rational and tries really hard to be sensitive, but he jokingly made a statement in bed about how maybe if I wasn't expecting morning sickness I wouldn't feel so sick. Basically that I was over thinking food aversions and doing this to myself..I almost smothered him with my pillow.
The kicker was that when I made a joke about it in front of SIL, who I get along with really well, and he explained himself she got this smirk on her face. She studied psychology and is a guidance counselor, therefore she believes she has infinite wisdom when it comes to the human mind. Yet she's clearly had depression issues since her broken engagement a year ago and refuses to talk to anyone about it. I wanted to slap the smug look off her face and tell her to deal with her own goddamnn problems first before she starts psychoanalyzing anyone else.
Claire, I will be praying your doggie gets better soon. That must be so scary.
As for me, my IL's made me absolutely furious this past weekend. Backtracking a bit, for our wedding, it was mainly my mother and I who paid for the wedding. DH contributed to a couple odds and ends, but the main tab was on my mother and myself, which I was fine with. I was, however, under the impression from seeing other weddings and from hearing about my friends' weddings, that the IL's typically set up the rehearsal dinner. I definitely understand that this differs with every family, but I guess I anticipated H's parents at least contributing a tiny bit to the cost, considering more than half of the guests were their family, friends, and coworkers. Unfortunately, they did not even offer to help pay, or even plan, the rehearsal. Their wedding gift to us was a $25 gift certificate to Trader Joe's. Then a few months later, H's mother got sick and basically got free medical care from my mother, who is physician. She is too kind to say no to anyone who needs help, so again, they got away with mooching off of her. They have done this twice before, when H's father was sick as well. But REALLY took the cake was yesterday, when my IL's showed up in a brand new Mercedes sedan, worth well over 6 figures for brunch at a local restaurant. Again, they left my mother with the bill. I am just so sick and furious at these people, I just can't even put it into words. I am hesitant to talk to H about it because I don't want to fight about money, because I know he grew up without a lot of it, and is always worried that I think he doesn't make enough. Which I don't. However, this is just way too much, and I really cannot stand them taking advantage of my mom and me anymore.
Thanks for letting me vent ladies. It has been a rough past few days.
