Where to register

Would you all recommend target as the place to register if I only want to register at one place?

Re: Where to register

  • I'm only registering at amazon, tons of selection, helpful reviews and easy returns. I've heard target can be a real pain but I'm a FTM so I'm not an expert!

  • I wouldn't do Target. I don't like their baby selection that much and their return policy sucks. Also, I hate shopping for people there because shopping in store is a pain (their in store baby selection is much smaller than online and varies per store), and you pay for shipping.

If you can, do Buy Buy Baby. Their return policy is great. BRU is *okay* too (I hate it, but registered there because I knew it was convenient for those who don't shop online).

We also registered on Amazon last time which was great. Fantastic return policy. You can find most anything. It's easy for people to order and shipping is free.

  • After what I've seen this weekend, if I could only register at one place and I had a big babies r us near me, I would register there. Honestly, after registering there, at BuyBuy Baby, Amazon, and Target, I feel like BRU has the most variety of items to check out, including different styles, brands, and color palettes.

I do like amazon, although after going to Babies R Us they didn't have the pattern I ended up deciding on, but BRU didn't have the original one I really liked.

So, my vote is BRU if there is a nice big one near you and the people who will be buying you gifts, amazon if you don't have one near you/near family/friends. Also, I would take into consideration your personal family and friends. I have many older women who won't want to go on Amazon and buy something, or won't know how to. So registering where they can walk in, have my registry printed, go pick something out and being it to my shower is important.

    Exactly all of this.
  • I agree with PPs that say the selection at Target it terrible. I'm definitely not going to register there. We unfortunately don't have a Buy Buy Baby around here, so I'm stuck with BRU - which is still a good 20+ minutes away. I think I will probably do Walmart as another option, as everyone in my family shops at Walmart.

  • We will be registering at WalMart because we have family spread out and WalMart is the only store that they all have easy access to.

  • I am registering at Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby.   I don't think target wiill have everything you need.   These stores have everything and more.

I am getting my crib somewhere different though.  It is called Babies to Teens
