I bought the Clek Foonf and went to install it yesterday and unfortunately it sits up so high I can not see out the window. I am so upset, I love this seat and really wanted it to work out. So now I am on the hunt for a new seat. RFing as long as possible is very important to me. I know the Diono Radian is another good one, but what are some others that I should be looking at? Has anyone heard anything about the new Chicco Nextfit? I bunch of the ladies on my BMB just got it and love it, and from when I have heard it has a high RFing life span as well. Price is not an issue, I just want to get the seat that will work best for my car (a VW Tigutan/small SUV) and will be the best fit for my DD (who is tall, 75th percentile for height).
I also want to keep my kiddos rearfacing as long as possible. I looked at the chicco nextfit and graco my size/ head wise/ size4me. I purchased the nextfit, it is in the mail now, hopefully I'll like it.
Edit: the radian is a great seat too. I love how narrow and sleek it is. My 2.5 year old can easily climb into his seat by himself since it has nice low sides and seat. It is difficult to install in some cars.
I have the foonf and we're getting the radian as our second seat. I thought they were at or about the same height, so I'm not sure that's what you want. We wanted the high RF height limit on both, so we sacrificed some visibility. DD's foonf worked best behind the passenger seat.
Does the Radian sit as high since it does not have that huge base? The Foonf only fits behind the passenger seat and it blocks the entire window, so its not just sacrificing some visibility, it is sacrificing all visibility, which is not safe at all. If it did not have that huge base it would not block as much of the window in my car.
My radian r120 from justkidsstore is in the mail. I was debating between that and the nextfit. They were same price (225 on sale). I ended up with the radian because the nextfit seemed too much like our baby bucket seat. I also wanted a red seat. We'll see if I made the right decision!

There is a great group on Facebook called Car Seats for the Littles. Tons of CPSTs post there and can answer questions about installs and recommend seats based on child's size. If I remember correctly from what I've read over there, the Graco Size4Me/MySize/Headwise (all the same seat with different names depending on which store is selling them) has is the highest rear facing height seat on the market. The Radian and Chicco Nextfit are on up there, too, but I'm pretty sure the Graco is the tallest.

Someone on my BMB just told me about the group so I requested to be added. Thanks!
I was convinced the Foonf would not fit behind my seat, but after seeing a picture on FB with it behind the driver in a Prius I tried it and it fits great! So problem solved, it fits and does not block my view :-)
