XH has DD this weekend. I called tonite to talk to DD but XH did her talking for her. It got annoying. She does get in that she played with kids and XH tells me they were at a park.

He says that he noticed that DD was more feminine than the other girls her age. i take it as a compliment.

He didnt mean it that way

he goes on to say that he doesnt want DD to be like me. He wants her to be a little redneck like him.

I wanted to say " Oh, you mean white trash like sd?". But i shut my mouth.

I know the real reason. And thats his issue. Not mine.

Honestly, I don't want her to be like me either.  I hope she makes better choices than I have.

If XH wants to work on making her into a redneck, that's okay - I obviously don't have issues with rednecks.  After all, I married one, but I want DD to be whoever she wants to be.

 He can work on the redneck. I'll work on the strength, honesty, independence, kindness, and smarts - because redneck girls can be all that too.

LOL!   So true in this case!

I also think your (j+k+) H realizes he is an uneducated loser.  He is afraid that your D will be embarressed by him if she grows up educated, with manners, etc.
