Shopping

I'm only 8 weeks, but this bloat is getting the best of me. I feel sooo gross right now :/. Jeans are out of the the question..I'm thinking maxi dresses here on out!! Have any of you ladies purchased any early maternity clothes? If so, where did you find the good deals??

Re: Shopping

  • I bought dresses last week just for this reason. They aren't maternity, but a size/style I will be able to comfortably wear for the next few months.

LOVE the fact that Maxi dresses will be my/our savior for early pregnancy clothes!! The bloat can be such a bummer in the beginning....you KNOW you are not "fat" but you know it's not baby either! Ooofta! I'm also planning on hitting u some garage sales f

  • Any dresses are definitely a good idea. Do you have a Bella band yet? I have one and plan to use it while I am still bloated. I also have clothes from when I had DS that are a size up from my usual size that I can wear as well.

  • I wore a lot of sundresses, loose tops and skirts the last time around, since I was too small for most maternity clothes. I plan to do the same this summer with this baby, though I probably will get some maternity shorts too since I'll be a month and a ha

It's a great idea to buy non-maternity clothes that are a size or two bigger than you have right now. Try to buy them so they're a bit big on you now, and look for materials that will stretch. You can wear these again after your pregnancy, while you're ge
  • The Bella bands are a good idea, especially because some of your maternity clothes might feel too big yet. I got maternity clothes last time at target, and motherhood outlet. I had a hard time finding old navy ones only because I don't have a local mater
  • I'm a thrifter, so I'll be hitting up garage sales and Goodwills looking for some clothes. I think theres an Old Navy near me w/a maternity section, so I'll check that out.

Otherwise, I'm living in my collection of maxi dresses, but I know I'll

  • Thanks ladies! I haven't even thought some thrift stores and garage sales. I'll check those tomorrow. As for the Bella band, I ordered one Wednesday so hopefully it'll be in soon. I live in a small town in south Alabama and the closest town with old navy
  • I didn't buy a whole lot of maternity clothes with either of my kids so far.  I bought two pairs of jeans and a pair of blank dress pants and a few shirts/tanks, but I mostly wore maxi dresses, threw a cardigan over a tank and left it open, threw a j

  • I love the look of jean jackets over dresses..my work is super strict on what is professional and not..so no denim is allowed. I will have to look for more cute cardigans.
