Ear infection question

Is it possible for a baby to have an ear infection without being fussy? Julie has been happy as ever but I've noticed she's been touching and grabbing her right ear for several days now. Discovering her ear perhaps? Her hearing is fine. I always assumed ear infections were painful, but maybe not. Any thoughts?

  • Zofia has been doing the same thing... I've been thinking hit might be related to teething, but I don't know. It isn't an infection since her ears were checked at her shots last week.

  • I think its a combo of teething and discovery though more so teething! DD has had her ear checked multiple times when she's done this and she's been fine. Though I feel like DS has had bad ear infections with no symptoms before. Good luck!

  • I had no idea that Brant had his first ear infection. I only found out because I brought him in for a cough. His current one I kind of figured he had because he was hanging that ear toward his shoulder.

  • Stella has had two ear infections.  The first one she was really fussy and kept refusing to eat.  The second time (ongoing as we speak) she woke up an hour after bedtime and was fussy.  This also coincided with her tooth cutting through the
