how much food does your little one eat?

So I was on another board and someone said how much their baby eats and I wanted to know what everyone else's baby eats? like how much at one time. My baby is & months old and nurses any chance he can...but he eats stage 2 meals one for breakfast one for lunch and one for dinner and I will give him a few puffs as a snack in the afternoon...is that too much food? He loves eating, but the other board I saw made me think he eats more than he should.

Re: how much food does your little one eat?

  • That doesn't seem like a lot to me. I would say they get about 30 oz of formula a day. Right now they get 2 meals a day but starting next week we're increasing it to 3x/day.

Sometimes I will give them fruit in the mesh food feeder thing w

  • That seems like a lot to me but DD only gets food here and there so I'm not a good person to ask.  I'm kind of lazy about it but she seems to like watermelon out of all the foods we've tried.  I need to start giving her veggies but when I make v

  • If he is eager for the food and nursing well I think you're doing fine.

We're still doing first tastes and LO isn't super excited about food. I offer an ounce at a time and she's pretty much done near the end of the bowl. We do one meal a day and

  • Ella wakes up between 7 and 8am and she usually plays for about an hour before she gets hungry. She will eat a jar of fruit or cereal for breakfast and then usually has a 6oz bubba an hour later. She doesn't always eat lunch and if she does its not a big

  • He eats 7 oz every 3 hours during the day. If he is asleep at the 3 hour mark then he eats as soon as he wakes up. He also eats 3 baby food meals a day. That includes one ice cube sized cube of sweet potatoes and one carrot cube along with a fruit.

  • DS likes to eat too.  I always nurse him before mealtimes, otherwise it's like WWIII here.  He nurses on average 8x/day (but STTN).

He eats 3 solid meals a day.  I can't tell you the exact amount cuz I make all his food and just ey

  • My LO loves to eat! She wakes up around 6 and bf. At about 8 we have breakfast, which for her is either a yobaby yogurt or fruit and oatmeal. She will eat the entire 4 oz yogurt or 3 oz of fruit with 2 tbsp oatmeal. Boob two hours after that. Lunch around

I actually asked pedi about this just the other day.  She said a proper meal is the size of her cupped palms.  Size of both palms for one meal, and the size of one palm for one meal.  That evens out to about 5oz for one meal, and 2.5oz f

  • We are still in the introducing stage. She might do 1/2 a jar if she likes something... We are still at one solid intro a day, although she loves her frozen baby bananas in the mesh strainer and usually gets one every other day or so. She is alsO quite ha

  • Hard to say....we mostly BF, so I am not sure how many ounces of that he gets. But as for solids, he eats one to two 2-ounce "meals" a day, both at daycare. On the weekends, we usually only do one 2-ounce meal. His intake of BM hasn't changed.
