Feeding table food

I have a question. I have been seeing a lot on the 9 to 12 month board that people are feeding their babies table food already. Some even started at like 8 months. I was under the impression that babies should have only milk and baby food at least the first 12 months. I refuse to give my daughter table food as I think she is too young.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

Absolutely not the case. But do whatever you feel best.

I guess I was under the impression that feeding table food too soon would mess up their digestive system. She doesn't show interest yet in eating table food yet anyways, so she is still eating baby food.
