Cyst question

I asked this in IUI checkin but since I was so late to check in maybe this will get some responses. Sorry so long and possibly dumb question. I did try google.

At my monitoring appointment I do have a cyst that they are monitoring. I think he said 23 mm. It might be the same one I had last month too. I need to records doctors appts. Because I can't remember if last months was on left or right.

So anyway that was yesterday. My period was heavy for day 1 like usual then by end of day 2 it's very light and then I just spot. My back has been hurting since yesterday and this morning I had no spotting overnight so I was thinking period done. I left for work and stopped at store and all of a sudden my pain got worse and started bleeding pretty heavily. Thank god I still had a pad on. By the time I got to work it had soaked thru the pad. I'm freaking a little because I'm thinking about the cyst rupturing or something. I would have called my doctor but by ten am the bleeding had pretty much stopped again so I would feel stupid calling and it was just some weird residual end of period thing. Could it be related to cyst.?

I will definitely ask when I go for monitoring but what do y'all think. I'm OOP so going in would cost me 200 dollars.

Is your RE letting you proceed with IUI this cycle? Usually with a cyst, you get benched for that month.

I had a cyst that caused no pain but was pretty big and needed to go on BC for it. I also had lower back pain with the cyst as well.

That seems like a pretty good sized cyst to me...maybe it burst...I dont have alot of experience with that, but I second what PP said about maybe BC bing needed to control it. Either way, I would definitley call you Dr. Hope everything is ok!

Cysts can cause your cycle to be really weird. You can call your doctor to be sure but I don't think I would be that concerned about it. I had a 22 mm cyst at the end of last year and it went away on its own. If it had ruptured, you would definitely know.

Thanks, it's just hard when you are over analyzing every twinge of pain. After googling more I think a ruptured cyst would be more painful. The RE doesn't seem to concerned over the cyst, just acted like it was something to watch. I had one last month too
