Will you be buying a crib set or just piecing together what you want/need?
We bought a crib set for DD#1 and I always felt like a lot of it was a waste of money. I have seen some really cute sets online though. Decisions, decisions...
Just buying crib sheets this time. We didn't use ANYTHING from DD's $100 (which is on the cheap end!!) crib set besides the one crib sheet. Besides, I think 99% of them are fugly.
I think I am going to go crib sheets and the mesh bumpers. Then find a blanket that I can't live with out. The sets are so expensive and I feel like the are too flashey and too much stuff on them
I will just piece together what i want. Most likely crib sheets and crib skirt. Last time i bought a bumper too, then.ended up not using it. I think.crib bedding sets are a complete waste of money. Especially comforter!

Definitely not a bumper or bedskirt - those were huge wastes of money with my first. We did use her quilt when she was a baby as a playmat before she started rolling/scooting around and then when she was in the toddler bed so that
We pieced it together. We got sheets, a breathable bumper, and a comforter type blanket (that we still haven't used 19 months later). And I bought an inexpensive set of blackout curtains. All you need is sheets.
Re: Crib Sets
Pieced together what I needed.
I got plain solid color crib sheets from Target.
Found material that I liked and made a changing pad cover and crib skirt and added some of that fabric onto the curtains that I already had.
