Hey girls, well I am officially here to stay. Ms. Ellie was born this morning at just past 24 wks. My delivery was completely nuts, the Dr didn't even make it here so the nurse did my delivery. I kept feeling like things were "off" over the weekend & I even told my MFM about it. She bumped up my cervical length US & my cervix was long & closed yesterday afternoon.
I still can't believe she's here! She is the smallest baby here but has been really feisty so far! She obviously intubated & they've had to increase the vent settings a few times, but they say that's normal. They've had some trouble getting her temp back up so they have her in a special humidified warming incubator, on top of warming gel & in plastic. I delivered so quickly that NICU wasn't even there yet so it took a minute or two for the warmer to heat up & during that time they just had her on my skin. I think slowly things are getting a bit more stable, she's agitated so we can only peek at her right now.
My head is really spinning & I'm just running on adrenaline right now so I apologize if this is all over the place!

Congratulations. I know right now you probably don't feel like celebrating, but it will get better. DD was born at almost 24 weeks. Take each day as it comes. You can do this.
